Hi, my name is Cheryl, I am part of Team 6 with Wendy. We've been co-workers for a couple years now. I wanted to tell you a little about my challenges with weight loss. As the middle child of three, growing up I was always the thinnest, I was also the most active. This was the case until I left high school. I've always had a ravenous sweet tooth for as long as I remember but my activity level was also higher as a child so it wasn't as noticable. When I left high school I became seditary I starting gaining weight and have ever since. I like most women gained my largest amount of weight when I had my first child and have never lost it. I have no desire to be a size 5 or have a model body, size 12 would be perfect for me. I'm realistic that with my age and that fact I've never been a size 5 that it is not something I even want to try and accomplish. I do think women look beautiful with some weight on thier bodies. Besides I just recently married and my husband likes a women with some meat on her bones. I've tried all kinds of diets and had some success with some but none have lasted and the weight always came back and then some. I saw the ad for the slim down in the Daily Press the day before it closed. I showed my co-worker Wendy and she said let's do it. I started my new lifestyle the day after the kick off. I was actually surprised because I'd never started on the weekend, I've always started my diets on Mondays and I found that to be very helpful. When I'm at work I pick all day but when I'm home (while I do continue to pick) I pick less because I'm busy doing other things. Well more to come later, I'm really enjoying myself so far and participated this weekend the March of Dimes walk-a-thon. I walked 2 1/2 miles and felt good, it was the most activity I've had in a long time.
