Things I May Never Have Tried.

I want to thank Julie & Ken Washlow, of Sidewinder Sports, in Apple Valley, for their hospitality. Also, I want to thank Lee Pollock, one of the paintball officials, who was so patient with us as he filled us in on the rules, and gave us pointers on what to do. All the regular players and officials were so nice too. Everyone made us feel right at home. My family and I had a wonderful time. I had always wanted to try paintball but never seemed to get around to it. It was great to see my kids getting a work out instead of sitting in front of the T.V. or computer. I know this is something that my entire family wants to do again. I don’t want to forget to thank The Daily Press, who was kind enough to make a contribution to help offset some of the Slimdown Contestants costs.

I also want to thank Roxanne and Richard, of Extreme Gearz, in Apple Valley, and Blazin Gearz in Victorville, for allowing the slimdown contestants to try a free session of their spinning class. Both Roxanne and Richard are so supportive, positive and helpful. The music they play is fun and upbeat to work out to. Before this, I did not even know what a spinning class was, or that a class like this even existed. This is definitely another great way to get a really great workout. One other thing I want to note is that even the regulars that attend the class are so nice and helpful. They were willing to share their first time experiences as well as pointers that helped them, because I have to admit that if you haven’t sat on a bicycle seat in a while, it may take some getting use to, if you know what I mean, but it’s worth it.

If you are looking for other options to add to your work out routine then I highly recommend either one of these.
