For whatever reasons the last few weeks have not been kind to me at weigh in time. Well I know the reasons, while I may be eating less; I really saw the losses when I was making exercise a bigger part of my regime. And then at first I was eating WAY LESS. But the all spinach diet was not going to keep me going. Plus I was told by some of the people I work with that I was “grouchy” (they didn’t say it quite like that, but children my read this so I toned it down a bit). So a change in eating habits and the lack of exercise has really hurt me the last two weeks. So I am trying to find that middle ground to keep me nice and keep the pounds off. One thing I have been doing is sending the food I have in the house that I should not be eating home with my kids when they have spent days with me. I am not so sure how much Ronda appreciates that. The rest of the time I am just not letting the food I shouldn’t eat into my house. Now work on the other hand is another story. We have two refrigerators in our lunch room full of food. Tons of ice cream in the freezers, and almost every day someone is making a lunch run to somewhere I would love to eat from. Oh and today we celebrated a safe year with BBQ bay Back Ribs and Chicken, and baked beans and potato salad and so on.
Eating out on my days off has been a little better. I have always loved sushi and I have been eating spicy or seared tuna salads and they feel my cravings and don’t hurt me as bad as a lot of the stuff out there. But obviously I need work harder on this. And I will. I already feel better and can’t imagine how I will fill at 315. Why 315? Well the other day I was carrying a five gallon bottle of water out of the warehouse at work. Five gallons of water equals 41.5lbs. At 315 I will have lost the equivalent of that bottle of water. As I carried that bottle I was thinking how difficult it would be to haul this up the stairs going up the HRSG’s (see picture below). I am doing that all the time, times four. So every time I shed 41.5 lbs I have gotten rid of one of those bottles. It may be a strange way to look at it, but it was something I could relate to at the moment.
Well enough rambling. To the rest of the teams I want to say great job. You are all looking great and are true inspirations. Wendy and Cheryl I hope you come around so you can cheer us on and so we can keep encouraging you as well.
And Dr. Krider I know you said that was a tuna sandwich you were eating at Toms the other day, but are you sure you didn’t have some chili fries tucked away on the seat next to you?

Wading water!
Hey Ward,
It seems I never talk to you or when we do it's so quick. I always forget to ask how things are going with the contest. I read all your blogs and it's good to hear that you and Ronda are doing well. I totally got what you were saying about the water and I hope you accomplish that.
I miss ya and I hope to hear from you soon!
Erin
