With their outlandish personalities and boisterous senses of humor, chances are you could easily recognize these two by the rise of laughter as they enter a room. Billy Rosenburg and Griffin Jumonville are partners in crime.
These two pranksters are extremely competitive, boasting “We’re the winners!” to all who will listen. Their tenacity knows no bounds, as they once went to an In ‘N’ Out Burger charity benefit for battered children dressed as the wicked witch of the west and Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, winning the costume contest and becoming the hit of the party! “I seldom lose,” Griffin says, “I’m very competitive.”
Billy and Griffin are hoping this challenge will help them to lose weight. Billy, 41, leads an active lifestyle, as he is the owner of the Barstow Station and is Vice President for the Board of Directors at Silver Lakes. However, in spite of his activities, Billy has high blood pressure, due solely to his obesity. Billy knew he had to lose weight when an employee at Panda Express insisted he had an eating disorder. “I didn’t listen,” Billy admits, but after a nudge from his wife and kids, Billy realized he had to start losing weight. Billy is hoping his lack of self-discipline will be overcome by the need to lower his blood pressure and be in better shape for his family.
Griffin, 52, is a custom home builder and he also has built more than 70 In ‘N’ Out restaurants, giving him an eternal free pass at In ‘N’ Out (quite the temptation). Though he leads an active lifestyle and is the owner of his own business, Griffin’s previous attempts at weight loss have been short-lived and he always gained the weight back. “I love to eat!” He claims.
These days, however, Griffin admits he needs help. “I realize how unhealthy it is to be fat. I have three children and I want to be around a long time to help them out.”
Billy and Griffin have been walking together at 5:30 am every morning consistently and so far, have lost the most combined weight in the competition.
